Wayfinding / Signage Program
In 2009, the Travel Butler County Board of Directors approved the implementation of a countywide wayfinding signage program designed to enhance connections between communities and the tourism economy. Phase 1 of the program was completed in 2013, and Phase 2 of the program was completed in 2018. Over 180 signs have been placed across the county, identifying and directing visitors and residents to various attractions and points of interest in Butler County.
Current work on wayfinding signs is dedicated to maintenance and updates of the existing signage system. Future phases of wayfinding signage expansion have not been planned.
Local entities wishing to express interest in wayfinding signage consideration for future phases are invited to review signage criteria and indicate interest through the associated form. The Travel Butler County Board of Directors may change or adjust wayfinding signage criteria at the Board’s discretion. All changes and future decisions regarding the wayfinding signage program are undertaken by the full Travel Butler County Board of Directors.
