A total solar eclipse is quite a rare occurrence... and YOU get to experience one right here in Butler County!
Butler County is in the path of totality for the solar eclipse happening on Monday, April 8, 2024. This means that the moon is going to totally obscure the sun for around two minutes, and we have the inside scoop on the best places to view this spectacular event! These 8 locations will be in 100% totality, however, totality duration depends on location on the map.

1. Governor Bebb MetroPark
1979 Bebb Park Lane | Okeana, OH
With plenty of space and secluded in nature, this park will be a wonderful spot to view the total solar eclipse! The Governor Bebb Preserve features 264 acres of forests, wildlife, nature trails, a historical pioneer village, and much more!
2. Harbin Park
1300 Hunter Road | Fairfield, OH
Harbin Park is a fantastic viewing spot for the eclipse as it has tons of wide open space. This park in Fairfield is 161 acres and features a huge sledding hill, hiking trails, picnic shelters, ponds, playgrounds and much more, all suitable to make your viewing experience the best it can be.
3. Dudley Memorial Park
5700 Yankee Road | Liberty Township, OH
Dudley Memorial Park makes for a beautiful viewing spot for the 2024 total solar eclipse with natural, bridged, and mulched hiking trails, a playground area, picnic areas, and gorgeous ponds. Enjoy the scenery and nature while taking in the eclipse!

Check out Monroe Community Park for a great solar eclipse experience! This park has 55 acres of gorgeous land, a historic log cabin, shelters, playgrounds and much more.
6. Hueston Woods State Park
6301 Lodge Road | Oxford, OH
Located in Oxford, Ohio this is a breathtaking state park with plenty of open space to marvel at the eclipse. Hueston Woods features a beautiful lake, campground, hiking, and so much more.
7. Chrisholm MetroPark Historic Farmstead
2070 Woodsdale Road | Trenton, OH
A true hidden gem, this historic farmstead is the perfect viewing spot for the eclipse! It boasts a historic house and bank barn, a farm-themed nature playscape, and plenty of land to enjoy.
8. Green Heron MetroPark
