Welcome to Hamilton's Backyard
Head over to Hamilton's Urban Backyard for local brews and good eats.
Four good friends— including two Hamilton natives— got together to bring an outdoor bar and food truck park to their community. It was a lifelong dream for them to run their own business, so Dave, Emily, Jeff, and Gina got to work and opened Hamilton's Urban Backyard. This fun hangout features local brews, indoor and outdoor seating, rotating food trucks, and good vibes.
The Backyard Eats
Hamilton's Backyard will have a rotating food truck schedule, along with a couple of permanent ones: Rock N Rolls and Jon Jon's BBQ. You can check out the Upcoming Calendar on their website. The photo below features banana pudding from A Lil Taste of Soul.
The food trucks circle around a large outdoor seating area, complete with multiple picnic tables, as well as The Backyard's building that offers some indoor seating by the bar. Guests are free to grab any open table and try as many local eats as they'd like!
The Backyard Camaraderie
The idea for Hamilton's Urban Backyard was partly inspired by the sense of camaraderie of family cookouts, drinks around a bonfire, and community events. For that reason, the HUB also offers live music performances each week, large fire pits, and a variety of friendly games like corn hole.
The Backyard says it best on their website, "For us, good food, good drinks, good music, and good company define some of life’s best moments. Family cookouts, after-game meals with the kids’ teams, some beers with your friends around the fire… These moments inspired us to bring that same sense of backyard camaraderie to the people of Hamilton and everyone who visits."
And of course, you can't have good food without some good drinks! The full bar includes a ton of craft beer options from local breweries, including some Butler County breweries like Municipal Brew Works, Swine City, Grainworks and more. You'll be sure to find your usual favorite, or maybe discover a new one!
The Backyard Community
From a dream to reality, Hamilton's Urban Backyard says they incorporated the help from other local Hamilton businesses and friends along the way.
The mural above highlights The 17 Neighborhoods of Hamilton and is painted on the HUB's building as a nod to their diverse and proud community. The mural was painted by local artist David Uy and in collaboration with Artspace Hamilton.
