10 Years of Yum on the Butler County Donut Trail!
Whether you prefer your sweet breakfast treat glazed, sprinkled, frosted, or plain, visitors from around the world have been traveling to Butler County, Ohio to conquer the famous Donut Trail.
The Donut Trail by the Numbers
Since its inception in 2016, more than 40,000 travelers of all ages have completed the trail.
That includes people from all 50 states and 24 countries that have traveled to Butler County to tackle the 80-mile Donut Trail.
One Sweet Adventure
From family reunions and birthdays to bachelorette parties, the trail has been the backdrop for countless celebrations. For some, it’s become an annual tradition to complete the journey and snag the coveted t-shirt reward.
Groups of friends and families often map out their donut-filled adventures, setting out before dawn, snapping photos at each stop and savoring the unique flavors along the way.
For many, the Donut Trail is more than just a one-time adventure. It’s the excitement of discovering new donut flavors, the comfort of returning to familiar favorites, and the pride of collecting yet another t-shirt.

In 2018, Will and Hannah started an annual tradition of traveling from Texas to complete the trail. To them, the Donut Trail is more than just a fun tradition; it’s an extra special milestone in their relationship, as they celebrated their honeymoon in 2020 on the trail.

During a Model A Ford Club event, a couple from Indiana traveled in style to complete the Donut Trail!
The 2025 Donut Trail Shirt
Each year, the Donut Trail t-shirt gets a fresh new look, with a new color and back design. Past t-shirt colors have ranged from pink to green to blue, keeping eager trail-goers guessing about the next design.
The Donut Trail is commemorating its 10th anniversary in style with a sleek black tee featuring a gold metallic logo on the front— because 10 years of donuts deserves a little extra celebration! The back of the shirt is a true collector’s dream, showcasing design elements from each of the previous year’s T-Shirt designs to celebrate a decade of delicious fun.
Tips & Tricks
Ready to plan your Donut Trail experience for 2025? Grab your family and friends to head out on this sweet trail in Butler County, Ohio. Follow the trail to find all of the delicious mom-and-pop donut shops. Prep for your trail travels by downloading a map— you can also download your passport, or pick one up at any of the shops along the trail.
Visit all 13 donut shops on the trail, and get your passport stamped at each stop. Once you've collected all the stamps, you can turn in your passport and be rewarded with the official Donut Trail T-shirt!
